Our Care Program

The philosophy of Living Choice is:

• The choice to stay in your home
• The choice to have care brought to you
• The choice not to be separated from your partner if extra care is required and can be delivered
• The choice to enjoy ongoing independence
• The choice to continue to live life to the full

For many years the planning of retirement living followed the traditional pattern of providing on-going care through a tiered arrangement ranging from self-care through to nursing home.

More recently both low and high level care is provided in aged care facilities. In specific circumstances, this can be the most preferable arrangement.

However, the problem with this style of care is that you are forced to change your lifestyle, level of comfort and independence. This is because residents must physically move into another unit, building or, sometimes, another facility, where services can be conveniently provided.

Where possible, Living Choice embraces the concept of bringing support services, if needed, to you.

Indeed, the whole principle of Living Choice aims to keep older Australians as independent and comfortable as possible. 

Our Living Choice care program enables you to:

• live independently for as long as possible
• be gradually supported by a range of personal care services, rather than be moved prematurely to an aged care facility when only some services may be needed
• retain the dignity of remaining in your own independent accommodation while being supported by services brought to you

Living Choice can arrange to deliver a range of services in the comfort of your own home and is always supported by the emergency response system.*

Services are supplied on a user-pays
basis and may include:

• assistance with provision of meals
• assistance with personal laundry services
• domestic help 
• transport services 
• co-ordinated home nursing
• assistance and advice with personal hygiene 
• cleaning
• shopping

All of the above services can be co-ordinated through our Village Managers and may encompass sourcing external professional services, ably supported by our Registered Nurse and Care Staff. The greatest peace of mind is that through our Care program we take the difficulty out  of arranging your needs and guiding you through those times when assistance is needed.
