Floating Jetty opens at Kawana Island

Living Choice Kawana Island has something no other Queensland retirement village has - its own floating jetty.

Residents and guests lined the boardwalk to give Gold Logie winner John Wood a rousing welcome as he arrived on board the MV Mudjimba to officially open the floating jetty. 

The jetty is on the Parrearra Lake, in front of the village's waterfront apartments and leisure centre. Residents will now be able to cruise to nearby Double Bay and the Mooloolaba Marina and Wharf.

Those attending the opening had the opportunity to have their photographs taken with John and the Gold Logie - and there were no shortage of takers
