Wining and dining with John Wood
Take three talented local chefs, mix in a generous amount of wine and add the 'cherry on top’, an appearance by Australia’s most popular actor. The result? A delectable and entertaining 'Wine Me Dine Me’ evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the residential community of Twin Waters.
The event was Living Choice’s contribution to the 10-day anniversary celebration and nearly 150 residents and guests attended the evening of fine food and wine at the village’s waterfront leisure centre.
Three local chefs – Matt Harman from Novotel Twin Waters Resort, Denis Smith from Twin Waters Golf Club and Anita Webster from The Naked Italian – whipped up a Prawn & Melon Salad, Peppered Swordfish Skewers with Fennel & Orange Salad and the piece de resistance, a Zucotto Tuscan Sponge Mousse.
Maleny Mountain Wines, Kenilworth Bluff Wines and Maroochy Springs Winery offered guests tastings and Colin Cunningham of Colin James Fine Foods showcased his tasty cheeses.
The evening was presented by Gold Logie winner John Wood, who recently completed the 'Wine Me Dine Me’ series for Channel 9 and the village’s own radio broadcaster Bill Scovell.
