John Wood launches Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival

Gold Logie winner John Wood and Maroochy Shire Mayor Joe Natoli launched the $64 000 Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival at Living Choice Twin Waters on 7 June.

The event provided 64 days of lawn bowl contests for national and international bowlers, including members of the Commonwealth Games teams. The carnival, now in its 43rd year, attracted more than 1 500 bowlers and was played at 23 Sunshine Coast clubs.
