New waterfront apartments open at Kawana Island

With all but one apartment snapped up at Living Choice Kawana Island, it was inevitable that the opening of Banksia – comprising 22 waterfront apartments – would attract a great deal of interest from local retirees looking for stylish retirement living on the water.

To celebrate the opening, an Open Day was held at the village and it was all hands on deck to look after the many visitors keen to get a first look at the spacious, modern apartments.

“Our residents were terrific,” said QLD Sales Manager Suzie Gray. “They toured visitors, drove the buggies, served teas, coffees and cream scones and were happy to chat to prospective residents about their lifestyle at the village. We could not have coped without them.”

Another great attraction was the live broadcast by Mark Darin and Caroline Hutchinson of 92.7 Mix FM. Mark and Caroline are well-known at Living Choice villages, having hosted live broadcasts on several occasions.

During their show, Mark and Caroline took the opportunity to interview Graeme Preston, chairman of the village’s Residents’ Committee about life at the village. They also crossed live to Living Choice ambassador John Wood in Melbourne. John was unable to attend the Open Day due to film commitments with Ch 10 and SBS.

The Mix FM promotional crew, Kellie Smith, Jasmine Ferguson and Layne Whitburn also did a great job of firing up the BBQ for the sausage sizzle and Living Choice resident Klaus Hempfing entertained on his barrel organ.

The three new display apartments are well worth viewing and there are some generous price reductions on offer for a limited time only. The sales office, located in Banksia Apartment 113, is open daily between 9am and 5pm. A special Twilight Viewing will also be held on Thursday 21 July at 4pm.
