Introduction

Australian owned company Living Choice has come a long way since its first retirement village opened in Kincumber on the picturesque NSW Central Coast in 1992. Today Living Choice villages can be found throughout the Central Coast, in Sydney and Queensland, offering the best choice of retirement lifestyles and homes in great locations and providing quality service and care.

The company was founded by Ron and Colleen Dobler who developed Living Choice, a retirement living concept based on the principle that care should come to you. This hands-on approach creates a caring culture within all Living Choice villages and is practised by Living Choice’s family of employees.

Living Choice Directors

When Ron retired, the culture of care was embraced by the new owners, Ian Tregoning and Graham Hobbs of the Eureka Group, a company established in 1993 with a proud track record of redeveloping hotels, real estate holdings and the Leisure Lea Gardens Retirement Village.

Between them, the directors have a wealth of expertise in property development, law and economics and are well placed to ensure the growth and development of Living Choice retirement villages in Australia.

Ian Tregoning

Ian’s academic qualifications include a degree in economics, an honours arts degree and graduate diploma in property development. Together with his father, Gordon, he is joint owner of the Tregoning Group of Companies, a company that specialises in developing industrial and commercial premises, trailer manufacture and general engineering.

Ian works closely with Living Choice’s architects to ensure the design of our villas, apartments and leisure centres meet, and in many cases exceed, the high demands of today’s discerning retirees. Ian is also responsible for sourcing future retirement village sites.

Graham Hobbs

Graham has a degree in law and economics and 25 years of experience as a partner and then chairman of the law firm Kelly & Co. He left the firm in 1997 to develop the business interests of the Eureka Group with Ian Tregoning and is responsible for the Group’s financial and legal management.

Graham heads up Living Choice’s sales, marketing and operations teams and has regular contact with the villages’ residents’ committees.

Operations Manager

Christine OsgoodChristine Osgood

Living Choice operates and manages its own villages and has a policy of dealing directly with residents, with open lines of communication between the resident committees, village managers, operations manager and director Graham Hobbs. This has resulted in a positive relationship with residents and a spirit of co-operation.

Christine Osgood was appointed operations manager of Living Choice in early 2007 and has an excellent track record in operations management, finance and accounts. Most recently she has worked 6 years in the retirement village industry in a variety of roles, including sales, village management and financial administration.
