The month-long exhibition Art Expression @123 Fisher may have wrapped up at Living Choice Fullarton but the art theme continues for another month with the opening of the Parkinson’s SA Art exhibition.

The exhibition, called “Living Stories, Colourful Lives”, features art, photography and creative writing from people living with Parkinson’s or another movement disorder from around the state. It is open daily from 8am until 24th September.

Village manager, Angela Trevor said the perfect spring weather brought out a big crowd for the official opening on Friday 1st September, including the CEO of Parkinson’s SA, Olivia Nassaris and Unley Councillor, Peter Hughes. Unley Council provides regular financial support for Parkinson’s SA events.

After Morning Tea sponsored by resident Helen Hammond, there were readings of inspirational poetry from a number of Parkinson’s SA members. The poetry is also available as part of the exhibition for visitors to read.

“We encourage visitors to come and see the exhibition in the foyer. Please take time to enjoy the art and appreciate the extra effort put in to achieve these works,” she said.
