Bastille Day with a difference at Fullarton

Every year, on 14th July, France marks Bastille Day with a military parade, fireworks, and spending time with friends and family. At Living Choice Fullarton, it was celebrated cabaret-style, with good friends, plenty of champagne, delicious food and dancing!

Timed to celebrate Bastille Day, residents Gill Miller, Sandra Maynard and Helen Bonet, pulled off another successful bi-monthly Cabaret evening on Saturday 11th July. The auditorium was transformed into a French bistro with most people dressing in typically French attire. Naturally, the champagne flowed too!

Louise Blackwell sang a medley of much-loved French songs and was ably accompanied by her four-piece backing group, charming the 100 residents and guests who attended. It did not take long for the guests to take to the dance floor and enjoy the ambience of the event.

As Sandra Maynard commented, “It was another great evening at the Retirement Village for the UN-retiring!”
