There was tough competition at the North Epping Bowls Club on Monday 10th May for the next round of the Sydney Bowls Carnival, with over 80 competitors coming together from the local region.
Sponsored by Living Choice Leisure Lea Gardens, this was the third round of the competition after resuming on 15th March - post-COVID-19 restrictions.
Linda Savige, Leisure Lea Gardens Village Manager, came through with the goods delivering Living Choice show bags as well as a bottle of Chivas Regal which was donated as a raffle prize.
The weather was ideal with brilliant sunshine, which created the perfect excuse for a post tournament beverage or two, but not before the winners of the day were decided.
Overall, West Pennant Hills rolled the best on the day taking out first place, followed by North Epping in second and Castle Hill in third.
Best first game went to home team North Epping, and best second game went to West Pennant Hills – a reversal of the overall end results.
The next round of the competition will be at Castle Hill on 21st June, then Dural on 19th July and the back to Castle Hill on 16th August.
