Excitement is growing as construction on the aged care residence at Twin Waters enters its final phase. The external building work on Estia Health Twin Waters is nearly complete, with project teams focusing on internal fit-out across the state-of-the-art, two storey home.

Construction of the 114-room aged care home is on track to be completed in June/July this year, and its official opening is scheduled for October 2017.

“We are very pleased with how the site is progressing,” said Natalie Vaughan, Development Manager at Estia Health.

“To walk through the home and see the cabinetry and timber wall panelling in place, beautiful light fittings going in and modern, decorative details in our tiling and paintwork – it’s very exciting to see it all coming together. Over the coming months, our focus will turn to our requirements for recruitment and training of staff, which is a crucial part of a successful opening for a new home.”

Natalie said the home’s open and contemporary layout centred around three light-filled outdoor atriums, allowing natural light throughout, and was complemented by a large open air balcony designed to accommodate outdoor activities and social gatherings.

“Each room is equipped with a large private ensuite and a dedicated memory support unit will be in place for those who require specialised dementia care. The home will feature an onsite café and hairdressing salon for residents and the local community to enjoy, as well as access to a medical consulting room for visiting allied health professionals.

“With spacious private dining areas for special occasions with loved ones and centralised living areas with ample space for activities and entertainment, Estia Health Twin Waters is set to be a sociable and modern facility, purpose-built to ensure comfort, convenience and high quality care.”
