Many residents at Living Choice’s 10 operating villages are keen golfers, so it’s not surprising that Living Choice has been a long-time sponsor of seniors and veterans’ golf in Australia.
Living Choice Parkwood, the company’s 11th village, which will built overlooking the fairways at Parkwood Golf Club, is now an official stockist of Inside Golf Magazine, Australia’s highest-circulating audited golf publication. The magazine covers local, national and international tournament news, club news, course reviews, new products, local and overseas travel features, golf tips from PGA teaching professionals and much more.
Living Choice’s support of golf in Australia began many years ago, starting with the annual Veterans’ Golf Tournament at Headland Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast in 2003. It has been the naming rights sponsor of this tournament for the past 18 years and also provides funds for its monthly Vets’ competition, with Living Choice residents taking turns to represent their village. Living Choice is also the major sponsor of the annual Maroochy River Ladies’ Open Day.
From 2004 to 2008, when Living Choice was developing its Sunshine Coast villages, the company was a sponsor of the PGA’s QLD Seniors’ Tour, sponsoring Pro-Am tournaments at golf clubs throughout Queensland.
On 12th December 2021, Living Choice will be a Gold Sponsor of the Innovative Planning Solutions’ Legends Pro-Am to be played at Headland Golf Club.
In South Australia, Living Choice sponsors the Lower Murray & Hills Veterans’ Golf Association and recently pledged support for the Southern Veteran Golfers’ Association. The company also sponsors the `Chip & Sip’ clinics and a number of tournaments at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, where Living Choice is building a retirement village, as well as several major charity golf days organised by Youth Opportunities, the Glenelg Football Club and the Liquor Industry Association’s annual fundraiser.
Since announcing its Parkwood village, Living Choice has become a major sponsor of the Parkwood Seniors & Veterans’ Association, has supported Blind Golfers’ QLD and also sponsored a District Shield Game of the Northern Gold Coast District Veterans’ Association. On 24th November, it will support the Parkwood Ladies’ Christmas Golf Day, providing a hamper and some of the prizes.
