The annual 3-day Living Choice Classic at Headland Golf Club is always a popular annual fixture on the QLD Veterans’ Golf calendar but this year, the tournament had to be tweaked to accommodate the COVID-19 rules. The competition was scaled back to two days and had to be restricted to 126 players, all Headland Veteran members. Despite this, it was a very enjoyable event and some excellent scores were returned in the perfect playing conditions. A big thank-you to Stan Foote and Ken McCaffrey of Living Choice Kawana Island who represented Living Choice over the two days.
The Eclectic competition was open to both men and women with Mark Beswick taking the honours as the Overall Eclectic Winner with an excellent 49 points. The Men’s Division 1 Winner was Ross Carvell with 48 points, while Jack Williams scored 47 points to win Division 2. The top Ladies’ winners were Chris Parkinson (Division 1) with 48 points and Trish Arden (Division 2) with 47 points.
Living Choice also sponsored a lucky draw and Ossi Laurkainen was the winner of the $200 Coles/Myer Gif Card.
Tournament organiser, Tony Coad thanked Living Choice for its continued support of the event. “It is very much appreciated and we hope to be able to conduct our full Classic version in 2021.”
