Home care, health and wellness services on show in Adelaide

The Living Choice Home Care and Wellness Centre teams joined forces to promote their services at the Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo in Adelaide on 14th October. The expo, held at the Adelaide Showground, attracted 200 exhibitors and was attended by hundreds of people.

Living Choice SA Home Care Case Manager, Lesley Phillips, said the expo was a very valuable networking opportunity and they had plenty of enquiries at their stand. Also attending was Living Choice Wellness Centres’ Coordinator, Sarah Fox and Home Carer, Michelle Henderson.

Sarah is the Coordinator of the Wellness Centres at Fullarton and Woodcroft and said she had handed out lots of class and clinic schedules, as well as information packs to those who were interested in retirement village living.

Yuki Honda, who conducts yoga, aqua aerobics and fitness classes at both Fullarton and Woodcroft, also attended for a short time and presented three 5-class passes to lucky prize-winners. Further prizes given out included a Posture pillow from Yates Physiotherapy, three 1-hour remedial massage treatments from Matthew Grosser and Sarah also donated a Body Philosophy treatment.

The expo was opened by Her Excellency, the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia. She acknowledged the importance of the work, collaboration and commitment of disability, ageing and lifestyle providers present at the expo. She also paid tribute to the Catalyst Foundation in enabling relevant information and advice to access services and products supporting independence and choice in the lives of South Australians.

Both Lesley and Sarah said they would be back with a bigger and better stand next year. For more information on Living Choice Home Care services, see Choice Home Care | Living Choice Retirement Villages
