Ladies tee off at Flagstaff Hill Golf Course

Anne Graham, Women's President Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, reports.

Recently the annual Flagstaff Hill Women's Golf Australia (SA) Metro Open Day was held at the Flagstaff Hill Golf Course. Fourteen clubs including Flagstaff Hill were represented, with 116 players in total (71 being visitors).

The competition was 4 ball best ball Stableford. The winning players, with a score of 51 points, were Shirley Pearce, Yvonne Riddell, Evelyne Fraser and Liz Lennan who are all Flagstaff Hill Golf Club members. It was a very close competition with 4 more groups on 51 and 3 on 50.

After the game all players had lunch where the dining room looked festive, the conversations flowed and the delicious food was thoroughly enjoyed. The day was very generously sponsored by Living Choice with bubbly and chocolates on the course, served by Living Choice's own General Manager, Jason Sack. Living Choice also had amazing prizes, including competition prizes and a huge basket of goodies for the first raffle prize which was won by Cathy Andrew.  Susan Seja and Edwina Grant were also there to represent Golf Australia where they spoke about the way in which our contribution from the day will assist with the development of golf in South Australia.

Congratulations to all players and those involved in organising the event, it was a brilliant day! We cant wait for 2021's open day.
