10-year milestone for talented Architect
Living Choice is fortunate to have many long-serving and talented staff members and this week, it was the turn of Pedram Abbasi, Senior Architect, to celebrate 10 years with the company. Pedram and his work colleagues celebrated with a lunchtime BBQ on Monday 6th March, when Living Choice Director, Ian Tregoning, and Head Designer, Craig Eyles, presented him with his 10-year certificate and a gift card.
Pedram said it had been a “pretty special day”. “Since I began my journey with Living Choice a decade ago, I never would have guessed that I'd still be here today, but I'm immensely grateful that I am. I've learned so much from all of you, and I've made some amazing memories,” said Pedram.
“Working together, we've achieved incredible outcomes. Coming up with creative and practical designs, has assisted Living Choice and EDP Hotels to gain industry recognition and to stay amongst the top competitors. As a team, we've accomplished so much, and I want to express my gratitude to Craig for his steadfast leadership, mentorship and support over the years.”
Pedram said that with the new changes in the system and growth of the design department, he was excited to see what the future held for them all. “I'm looking forward to being a part of this amazing team for many more years to come.”
Pedram has worked hard to establish himself since emigrating to Australia from Iran with his wife, Lima, in December 2009. Armed with a Master’s degree in Architecture, he joined Bruce Roach Design for two years between February 2010 and January 2012. During this time, he also obtained a Certificate IV in Building & Construction in December 2011, which led to his registration as a Builder/Building Supervisor in South Australia.
In 2013, he graduated from the University of South Australia with a Graduate Certificate in Building & Planning, further cementing his position in architecture. He joined Living Choice in March 2013.
Currently, Pedram is leading a team of architects working on high-profile projects, Living Choice Parkwood and Living Choice Flagstaff Hill, both golf course integrated retirement developments. “I am committed to bringing my skills, experience and expertise to these projects with a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional results,” he said.
In his personal life, Pedram enjoys spending time with his wife and seven-year-old daughter. “We have a keen interest in outdoor activities and love to explore Australia, as well as regularly take driving trips to Melbourne to catch up with my siblings.”
