A home to share at Leisure Lea Gardens

Mabel and Daniel Lee and Mabel’s sister Vivian Chai have always shared a home together in Chatswood. As Daniel’s health began to deteriorate, his daughter-in-law, Lydia Van der Plaat, started investigating retirement village options and was relieved to find them a home together at Leisure Lea Gardens.

“My husband drives along Epping Road on his way to work and saw the signs,” said Lydia. “We phoned the advertised number and made an appointment to see the Village Manager, Linda Savige. She was great and we did not look anywhere else.”

Although Mabel and Vivian have moved into their 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, they are still waiting for Daniel to join them as he is currently in rehabilitation. Lydia said Mabel and Vivian had settled in well and were taking advantage of the meal delivery service provided by the village’s onsite dining room. They were also utilising the house-cleaning service and had visited the onsite General Practitioner.

“When they were moving in, we met some of the residents and they all said how much they loved living there,” added Lydia.
