All aboard for Monarto Safari Park

Despite its small size at present, the residents at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill are enjoying some great social outings. Social Club member, Wendy Butler, reports.

Forty-three Living Choice Flagstaff Hill residents and friends gathered in front of Villa 17, Memford Way early on Friday 16th June to board a coach for a trip to Monarto Safari Park.

We travelled the scenic route to Monarto with commentary from Roger Oates about the history of the various areas. The sun was shining, the skies were clear and it was a little windy, but there was perfect weather for the day.

Morning tea was served on arrival at Monarto Park before the tour guide joined us back on our coach to give us a very informative commentary around the park.

Hot lunch was served in the café and some people browsed the gift shop before our return trip to Flagstaff Hill. We travelled in comfort and style and there was lots of chatter on the way, but several nodded off for the return journey and it was much quieter!

The general consensus was that it was a great day’s outing. A very grateful thank-you to Judy and Roger Oates from the village’s Social Club for their time spent organising a wonderful day for the residents of Living Choice Flagstaff Hill.
