Alloura Waters residents enjoy the Melbourne Cup

This year the travel committee at Alloura Waters organised a cruise on the P&O cruise ship to Melbourne.  21 residents took the opportunity to enjoy a cruise and attend the Melbourne Cup races in Flemington.

Meanwhile, back in the village the social committee put on a Melbourne Cup Day luncheon in the community centre. The ladies did a wonderful job with the table decorations and organising a great afternoon out for all.

The afternoon was enjoyed with a lovely sit-down lunch, good company and entertainment with best hat competitions for males and females, while they waited for the race that stopped the nation.
