An afternoon of cheer at Twin Waters
This week it was the turn of Living Choice Twin Waters to celebrate and appreciate all the hard work that the Craft Group members put in towards making gifts, baked goods and everything else that you would find at the markets.
It was a Monday afternoon, and the tables were set to welcome residents to an afternoon of socialising and shopping. This year, the Craft Group members focused their attention on finding something different to make and they came up with some great ideas.
The tables were full of chutneys, jams and marmalades, cakes, biscuits and many other delicious baked goods. There were Christmas decorations, handmade tea towels and of course, a table full of luscious house plants. Everyone seemed to find great Christmas gifts for loved ones. The residents also enjoyed an afternoon tea of classic scones, jam and cream next to the bowling green as laughter and chit-chat filled the room.
Most of the proceeds will go to charity; however, a small amount is used to buy more stock to prep for the next big market day. After all, shopping and socialising is a great way to enjoy an afternoon with friends.
