An afternoon of giving at Deepwater Court

With interstate COVID-19 restrictions in place it has been a while since Living Choice Director, Graham Hobbs has been able to visit Living Choice Deepwater Court. His opportunity came on Tuesday 22nd February - and he certainly made the most of it.

Graham attended an Afternoon Tea following the Residents’ Forum meeting and he came laden with gifts for both the staff members and the Woy Woy Public School, which is over the road from the village. He was joined by Regional Manager, Gail Eyres and sales consultants Dave Grassby and Alicia Stacey.

In appreciation of the 97 percent result achieved in the recent Residents’ Satisfaction Survey, Graham presented a gift voucher to each staff member, Rebecca Roese (Village Manager), Pablo Wijaya (Gardener), Roy Stevenson (Maintenance) and Obelia Stevenson (Bus Driver).

He also had the pleasurable task of presenting $1,500 to Woy Woy Public School, where some residents donate their time. Attending on behalf of the school were Dan Betts (Deputy Principal) and Michelle Williams (Assistant Principal Student Wellbeing). Dan bought along two pupils from school as well as his young son.

Rebecca said it was a lovely afternoon. “The residents enjoyed chatting to Graham and seeing the face behind the welcome calls that he makes to new residents,” she said.

The village’s association with Woy Woy Public School is described in an article in the latest Choice Living magazine, written by Simone McKenna. “I gave Dan and Michelle two copies of the magazine and they loved the article,” said resident, Thea Brayshaw, one of the volunteers at the school.
