An Elegant Evening at Kawana Island
Elizabeth Male and her wonderful circle of friends have been organising Elegant Evenings at Living Choice Kawana Island for the past 9 years.
These lovely soirees are held every 3-4 months, COVID permitting, and are much loved by residents and friends in the community.
The most recent function an “Elegant Evening” at Kawana Island was black and silver themed and was held in the Auditorium on Saturday 11th September, with 91 guests in attendance. This was postponed from July due to Covid restrictions.
Guests were offered champagne and canapes on arrival, followed by a 3-course meal, which was catered by local chef from Eat Out In.
Four-piece band, Girl Friday, performed a variety of blues, jazz and swing standards and originals. Their performance was so good that they had the movers and shakers up on the dance floor in no time.
These themed evenings would not happen without the support of a team of dedicated workers who work tirelessly to ensure the evenings are a success for their fellow residents.
The next function will be held in December for the Kawana Island Annual Christmas Dinners, over two weekends on 4th and 11th of December, so dust off your red glittery dance shoes!
