Kate Rossmanith holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, and has a background in theatre and anthropology, with an ongoing interest in memory, enactment and experience. She is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at Macquarie University. Her book Small Wrongs, a hybrid memoir about remorse in the justice system and in our everyday personal lives, was published in June 2018. Kate has also written and directed a micro-documentary, Unnatural Deaths.

Sandie Docker first fell in love with reading when her father introduced her to fantasy books as a teenager but it wasn’t until she was taking a translation course at university that her Mandarin lecturer suggested she might have a knack for writing. Sandie first decided to put pen to paper when living in London. Now back in Sydney with her husband and daughter, she writes every day and has just released her acclaimed first novel The Kookaburra Creek Café.
