July Art Exhibition
CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS
Artist’s overview…
Judith Brown is known for her intricate mixed media art – combining digital technologies with sculptural skills to create beautifully refined artworks sourced from organic materials. In 2013, Judith’s exquisite artwork ‘Flight of Fancy’ won the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize and the People’s Choice award. The delicate garment-inspired sculptures were made from paper and the skeletal casings of the Watsonia bulb. This same technique also won her the Brighton Sculpture Prize in 2016. Much of Judith’s work is a foray into colour and form integrated in ways that explore decorative imagery evocative of diverse cultural genres.
