Aussie Day celebrations at Kawana Island

The residents of Living Choice Kawana Island celebrated Australia Day on Thursday 26^th January with a fair dinkum Aussie bash.

Residents gathered in the Leisure Centre to enjoy their BYO lunch and drinks and enjoy the activities that were on offer for the afternoon.

The organisers had everything set up for a fun-filled afternoon. Competitions were held in quoit tossing, dart throwing and indoor bowls. Maree Sutton said the highlight of the day was the “Guess the Beer” competition. It was won by a Scotsman, Arthur Johnston, with the Ironman competition won by Patrick McMaster.

Graeme Preston was the MC for the day and did not disappoint with his wit and warmth.

A fabulous day was had by all who attended.
