Bargains galore at Fullarton Trading Tables

The annual “Trading Tables” held at the end of each year at Living Choice Fullarton have always been a big hit with both residents and visitors. This year, the event was enormously successful, raising nearly $3,000.

Co-organiser, Helen Bonet, said four tables were laid out with a huge variety of goodies. “Some were made in our craft room, some were donated, and many were foodstuffs made by our residents.”

“Warm pies, made by Joan Ogden, were just out of the oven and were a hit, selling out within minutes. Jo Dick made the ever-popular jelly cakes, and once again Carmel and Don Hogan made Irish fruit cakes - we sold 40!

“A number of other residents made cakes as well, including Pat Grant who oven-baked 50 sausage rolls. We totally sold out of all baked goods each day.”

Helen said a lot of fun was had by all the residents who volunteered their time to be at the tables to serve. “Thanks to everyone,” she added.
