Beautiful rose artwork on show at Fullarton
Seventy art lovers gathered in the art exhibition area at Living Choice Fullarton on 7th October for the opening of the October Art Expression @123 Fisher exhibition, “Everything’s Coming Up Roses”.
The exhibition is a collection of work by Val Jordan’s Art students from Cooinda and Trott Park Neighbourhood Centres, and is run by the Marion Council.
Approximately 50 residents and 20 guests enjoyed viewing artwork from nine different artists. Their work showcases all different concepts, and their interpretation of a rose.
The World Rose Convention 2021 was to be held in Adelaide in October but due to COVID, has now been postponed until October 2022.
Consequently, this exhibition was planned to coincide with the World Rose Convention, which inspired the Art students to produce a collection of rose paintings and drawings.
The students created work in their own choice of medium and style providing a very varied approach to the one subject matter.
The exhibition is open daily from 7th October to 2nd November. While you’re there, enjoy coffee, lunch or dinner at the restaurant, Damien on Fisher.
