Italian fare on the menu at Fullarton

Since taking over the restaurant at Living Choice Fullarton in mid- 2022, experienced chef and restaurant owner, Alfonso Castello, known as Nino, has gradually introduced a new menu of classic and modern Italian dishes at ‘Castello’s Cucina’.

The restaurant, which is open seven days to both residents and members of the public, offers a mouth-watering selection of Italian-themed food, including a wide range of starters, sides, salads, risottos, pastas, gnocchi, a choice of nine mains and a decadent range of desserts. Their Zepole Di Ricotta (traditional Italian doughnut with a ricotta cream filling, chocolate, pistachio and limoncello syrup) is heavenly!

Nino has extensive experience in creating iconic food destinations, having established restaurants and cafes in Sydney, Shanghai and Adelaide. Nino was born, raised and began his culinary career in Cava Dei Tirreni – the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. He trained and worked in bakeries, pasticcerias, pizzerias and restaurants throughout Italy.

Nino is assisted in the restaurant by his wife, Anna, a former top model. She is a familiar face to many, having been featured in editorial and advertising campaigns for various companies.

Anna shares Nino’s passion for food and enjoys the hospitality culture and interacting with people from different walks of life. She has worked in cafés and restaurants and was the Function Co-ordinator at Renaissance Tower in the 90s. She has brought this same experience to Fullarton, where many functions are held regularly.
