Birthday tribute for `Living Treasures’
A group of extra special residents gathered in the Leisure Centre at Living Choice Twin Waters Tuesday 21st March to celebrate their significant birthdays this year. Organised by Thelma Richardson and her very efficient helpers, the morning was arranged to recognise these wonderful residents.
Thelma first decided to start this tradition seven years ago and it has been running every year since. Thelma said the event was for residents who are turning 85 years and over to come and enjoy a morning tea together.
“These residents are lovingly known as the Living Treasures. Once you turn 85, you automatically become a member of this special club. The numbers keep growing each year too. We have a few residents in their late 90s who are here celebrating today which is wonderful,” she said.
