Brisbania pupils spread the Christmas spirit
Living Choice Alloura Waters was “invaded” by 107 pupils from Brisbania Public School on 12th December and the residents loved every minute! The pupils walked from their school to the village to perform some well-loved Christmas Carols and dance routines, much to the delight of the appreciative residents.
The annual concert is a highlight on the residents’ social calendar and is testament to the close relationship between the school and the village. Resident Don Campbell, a former Learning Support Teacher, reached out to the school as a volunteer several years ago and visits the school twice a week to assist children with reading. He also arranged for six residents from the village to assist Year 2 pupils once a week and invited the Year 6 class to go bowling with residents at the Davistown RSL Bowls Club.
Don said the Social Committee members put on an “amazing spread” for both the residents and pupils after the concert. “The children are still raving about it!”.
