Broadwater Court happy hour
with a difference

Residents of Living Choice Broadwater Court were treated to a delightful stage performance during the Treeview Estate happy hour recently.

A cast of 6 residents performed in The Down Family, a skit about a loud family – all hard of hearing and all with poor memory. This well-rehearsed production was made up of Pa Down, played by Billy Higginson, Ma Down (Val Robertson), Neil Down (Pam Goodall), Bob Down (Bob Cochrane), Baby Ida Down (Evelyn Higginson) with Postman Heinz Osterwald!

The ample crowd of 50 really enjoyed the show. They cooed at Baby Ida and laughed out loud when Val, as Ma Down, performed some excellent adlibbing, shooing away imaginary chooks with her walking stick.

Produced and directed by resident, Dawn Butcher, the skit brought great old school comedy to Happy Hour.
