Despite the threat of rain and even floods, 26 guests attended the “Christmas in July” themed Morning Tea and Open Day at Leisure Lea Gardens on 1st July. And what a feast they enjoyed!
Resident Sarah Lee-Joe got up at 4am to bake delicious pumpkin scones and fruit cake – thank-you, Sarah! There were also Christmas decorated cupcakes, snowballs and decadent, warm plum puddings served with custard. The room was decorated with tinsel, Christmas lights, wreath decorations and bon bons placed on each table.
Village Manager, Linda Savige, welcomed guests to the Open Day and introduced the staff members who would be leading the tours. Eight Resident Ambassadors also attended, sitting with the guests during Morning Tea to answer any questions they had about the village.
“The weather was a little overcast but thankfully, we were spared any rain and our guests were able to enjoy the village gardens as part of their tours to a variety of available apartments,” said sales consultant and Assistant Village Manager, Anna Ginters.
“We toured a range of one and two-bedroom apartments located throughout the village, some of which were furnished. The apartments were incredibly well-received with many guests commenting about how the one-bedroom apartments were so much larger than expected.
“Thank you to the Resident Ambassadors who helped out. It was a very successful day with 4 Holds placed on 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, including one on a Supported Living apartment.
The next Open Day is planned for Spring, when Head Gardener, Joel Perez, will take guests on a guided tour of the award-winning gardens. More 2-bedroom apartments will also be unveiled. Keep an eye on the Living Choice website for details!
