Ciao Bella! Deepwater Court enjoys an Italian feast

Residents of Living Choice Deepwater Court themed their monthly dinner for May, Italiano. It was a particularly unique gathering because their gardener and highly talented singer and musician, Pablo, performed live. Special guest Bianca, Elaine’s niece, also performed original numbers for the residents. Bianca is new to the stage, writes her own songs and played beautifully.

It was lovely to see the community centre decorated in Italian colours and at full capacity with approximately 40 residents in attendance.

Pat’s well-travelled daughter made four big lasagnas from a traditional Italian recipe for main course, and for dessert residents were spoilt for choice with Ruth’s tiramisu and Joan’s delicious pavlova.

Three generous raffle prizes were drawn at the end of the night and the winners were Ruth, Monica and Joy. Thea made the prizes and all were in keeping with the Italian theme.

Village Manager Rebecca Roese captured the evening with pictures and a video of the crowd singing, Sweet Caroline. The energy was high, there was much laughter, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The next monthly dinner will be a winter warming soup extravaganza.
