Clients rewarded for feedback

At the beginning of every month, Living Choice emails a questionnaire to all those who have enquired about a Living Choice village in the preceding month, asking clients to rate the homes, facilities, service and marketing material. All those who respond have their names entered in the monthly draw to win a gourmet hamper valued at $200.

Wendy Fok of Clapham was one of the clients who completed the questionnaire after visiting Living Choice Fullarton in May. Her name was drawn as the winner of the monthly survey and she collected her hamper from Village Manager, Vanessa Elmslie, on 10th July.

Wendy visited the Living Choice stand at the Adelaide Retirement Villages & Lifestyle Resorts Expo held at the Unley Town Hall on 7th and 8th May. She decided to visit the Fullarton village straight away and, as the sales consultant was at the expo, she was toured by a Resident Ambassador, describing her as “very good”.

The Living Choice client survey program was started in 2010 and since then, thousands of surveys have been sent out. Initially, “hard copy” surveys were sent out but in recent years, clients receive an email inviting them to complete the survey electronically.

The questionnaire varies, depending on whether the enquiry was made by phone, via email, through the Living Choice website, at an expo or by personally visiting the village. The completed surveys provide valuable feedback on the standard of homes, facilities, gardens, sales service and marketing material. Any suggestions on how Living Choice staff can improve in the future are also greatly valued.

The survey also includes a question about what factors are important when making the decision to move into a retirement village. Although these vary according to the location of the village, the need for less home maintenance and gardening is usually the most popular reason.
