Colouring our world in Effervescence

Living Choice Twin Waters resident and artist, Judith Laws held her solo exhibition opening at Cool Art Gallery, Coolum Beach on Saturday 11th March.

Local Channel 7 reporter, Rosanna Natoli was there for the opening event and gave a welcoming speech to over 50 guests who attended.

Rosanna said, “Just looking at Judith you know she obviously loves colour. She lives and personifies an artist”.

Judith’s exhibition was well-received by the crowd. Supported by her husband and fellow artist and author, Rex Backhaus-Smith, Judith thanked everyone for coming.

In her artist profile, Judith says each painting starts out as an adventure and an experiment, not only in composition but in the choice of medium. Being an artist for over 40 years has given Judith the freedom to experiment. She says the excitement and passion she feels for painting is like that of embarking on a new adventure, even after all this time.

Judith’s solo exhibition “Effervescence” is located at Cool Art Gallery, 5/43 Access Crescent, Coolum Beach until 24th March. Check for opening times via the gallery.
