Crochet class takes off at Glenhaven
In April this year a Ladies’ Crochet Class was started at Living Choice Glenhaven to teach those who wished to learn how to crochet. The class has been very successful and in the few months since they started they have learnt the basic stitches and then progressed on to making “granny squares”. These have been joined together to make two lovely rugs which are being donated to charity.
The ladies have now progressed to making beanies, scarves and baby blankets and everyone is enjoying their new hobby.
Pictured above holding the rugs are (from left) Marian Gollan, Sue Waesch, Barbara Pettet, Stella Shultz, Betty Chapman, Carmel Ascough, Val Thomas, Dianne Parrey, Marjorie Starr.
