Deepwater Court residents do their part to remember our ANZACS
Living Choice Deepwater Court residents took to their driveways for ANZAC Day this year, as did many other residents across our villages. Living Choice Kawana Island resident and Vietnam Veteran, Jake Jacobsen, encouraged all Living Choice residents to support RSL Australia’s call to mark ANZAC Day in a unique way and what a beautiful response there was from Living Choice villages across Queensland, New South Wales and Adelaide.
At Deepwater Court, The Last Post was played in the leisure centre and heard around the village. Village Manager, Leanne Maini also made candle holders for everyone to use, and residents painted them to resemble poppies. Such a brilliant idea which signifies the importance of Anzac Day.
Thank you to Leanne for the images and thank you to all residents in Living Choice villages who took the time to stand on their driveway at dawn, even during these uncertain times, to pay tribute to all servicemen, past and present.
