Design Inspiration and Construction Update Event

The Design Inspiration and Construction Update event provided a unique opportunity to hear directly from the design team headed by Craig Eyles – and construction head Leigh Buckton. Director Ian Tregoning who is intimately involved with the design aspects of all Living Choice developments provided an insight into the inspiration and vision behind Living Choice Parkwood. Ian who is passionate about design works closely with Craig Eyles who with Pedram Abbassi -Senior Project Leader oversee a team of in-house architects and designers working on this project.

Craig Eyles shared images of the world class Leisure Centre where future residents can socialise in the either the bar, lounge or outdoor terrace overlooking the lake and golf course. The Leisure Centre open in Stage 1 will also include a library, meeting room, spacious art and craft studio and indoor BBQ, with a resident’s workshop located in the lower carpark.

Craig also provided an overview of the design features of four of the twelve apartment designs available that range from one bedroom to ultra luxury three- and four-bedroom apartments. All apartments having high quality timber look flooring, quality fittings and European appliances, reverse cycle air-conditioning, double-glazed windows and doors, keyless entry and many other features including motorised curtains and heated towel rails. During the construction stage future residents will be able to have input into the interior design colours of cabinetry, floors, and benchtops from three colour schemes – Carrara, Casablanca or Marbella.

Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of the design team with a diverse range of topics covered, ranging from clothes lines on balcony’s, carpark allocation, adding additional power points, ceiling fans, removing walls, extra storage options, and allowing of pets.

A construction update was presented by Leigh Buckton who shared a time lapse video of the site advising the Lexington tower and community centre was likely to be finished by May 2025, weather permitting. Leigh also took several future residents for a site tour where they were able to walk through their apartment and visualise the spacious layout now some of the internal concrete walls had been poured.

Following the formal presentation, attendees had the opportunity over afternoon tea to engage with our design and construction experts one on one.

This event was another fantastic opportunity for EOI and prospects to gain experience about what they can expect from living at the Gold Coast’s most exciting new retirement community and connect with like-minded people considering making Living Choice Parkwood their home.
