Earthworks ramp up at Parkwood
There was plenty of activity on the Living Choice Parkwood site in August with earthworks ramping up in preparation of construction of Stage 1 of the village.
National Construction Manager, Leigh Buckton, said pumps to lower the water levels on the site had been implemented which had allowed the new dam excavation to commence. Bulking out of poor ground material and a survey of volumes had also been completed.
Mr Buckton said the Gold Coast City Council had issued a road permit to allow works to the northern side of Napper Road for two months.
“Energex is still within 9 months for new connections and termination of poles within the roads,” he said.
“The third Council trial water shut down took place on 31st August to isolate the 550 water main. We need to able to shut this off to allow the 550 main to be lowered,” he added.
Stage 1 comprises 69 apartments spread over two buildings named Lexington and Columbus. Sales consultant, Angie Hackett, said sales had been going very well with some apartment designs already sold out. To find out more, phone 1300 421 414 or email sales@livingchoice.com.au
