February is music month at Woodcroft
The “upcoming social events calendar” at Living Choice Woodcroft is a long one. Apart from all the usual weekly activities, movies and happy hours, the Social Club’s committee organises many concerts, lunches and dinners. In fact, four concerts have been organised in February!
The first concert kicked off on Sunday 5th February, when more than 150 residents enjoyed entertainment by well-known Adelaide singer, Harry Olonga.
Prior to the concert, an excellent lunch was prepared by resident, Glynis Rock. Residents tucked into roast pork with veggies, followed by a decadent dessert of mud cake and ice-cream or sticky date pudding with ice-cream.
Resident Bernadette Chetcuti, who took some great photos with the new village camera, said it was an excellent day enjoyed by all.
Other events planned for February include concerts by The Four Reasons, featuring hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s (11th February), Sunday Funday with performances by DJ Rob and The Elderly Brothers (19th February), and Sweetbeat ‘n Harmony, an all-woman singing trio who will entertain on 23rd February. As Bernadette says, life is never dull at Living Choice Woodcroft!
