First monthly “Art Expression” exhibition hailed a success

With so many talented artists, musicians and craftspeople living at Living Choice Fullarton, it’s no wonder the 5-star venue has gained a reputation for being the cultural hub of Unley.

Apart from hosting the annual SALA Festival event, Art Expression @123 Fisher, there are also regular concerts and piano recitals, fashion shows, travel presentations, wine tastings and regular talks hosted by the Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Association, including Hilary Kay from the Antiques Roadshow on 14th February.

Recently, Living Choice residents and management, together with the team from Damien on Fisher Restaurant, initiated a series of monthly exhibitions in the restaurant area. The exhibitions provide an opportunity for residents, visitors and Damien on Fisher patrons to enjoy a wide variety of artistic (including photographic and craft) styles. The venue is also a wonderful space for artists, sculptors etc to display and sell their work.

The first exhibition was held on Valentine’s Day and featured work from resident artists. More than 115 people attended and also enjoyed refreshments sponsored by Living Choice.

The exhibition was opened by Unley Councillor, Peter Hughes, who congratulated John Hughes, Art Space convenor Jill Argent, Helen Hammond and many other residents for organising such a successful event. Many people took the opportunity to enjoy a Valentine’s Dinner at Damien’s afterwards.
