Football mates reunited after 61 years

One of the unexpected advantages of moving into a retirement village is the opportunity to renew old friendships! After reading a recent Living Choice Woodcroft Communique for residents, Neil Page noticed that new residents Jock and Hellen Duncan had moved into Villa 30.

“My mind went into overdrive thinking to myself that there cannot be two Jock Duncans. I attended Goodwood Boys’ Technical High School for one year in 1959 and a Jock Duncan played with me in the A Grade football team,” said Neil.

“On the following Monday afternoon I dropped in to say hello to our new residents and was so pleased to find out it was him! It was so amazing to catch up with Jock after 61 years. We were not mates so much then, but I am sure we will become mates now that we are in the same village.”

Welcome to Jock and Hellen and we are sure there will be plenty of reminiscing about the past when you get together with Neil at Happy Hour!
