Fullarton hosts Inaugural Inter-Village Bowls Competition

As an avid bowler, Living Choice Fullarton resident, Graham Short, is always keen to promote the game he loves. He had a vision to hold an Inter-Village Bowling Competition at the village and, with sponsorship from Living Choice and the bowls group, the inaugural competition was held on Monday 10th October.

Teams were invited from Southern Cross, Victoria Grove, Lutheran Homes Group Glynde, Townsend Park and there were two teams from Fullarton. Living Choice director, Graham Hobbs, had the honour of officially opening the tournament and many residents sat on the sidelines to watch the friendly rivalry on the green.

The Victoria Grove team took top honours, with Southern Cross just squeezing out Living Choice Red for 2nd place.

Graham Short said that after the success of the day, plans were being formulated for an expanded competition next year – possibly a five-day competition played over five weeks. Congratulations to Graham and his team of helpers for their initiative in organising the event.
