Fullarton’s 8th Anniversary
celebrated in style
On 15th December 2014, Living Choice Fullarton welcomed its first residents, Scott and Jean Hutchinson, who had been looking forward to moving in ever since they attended the first Focus Group in May 2011. In the following week, staff welcomed 41 residents to 28 apartments and these “pioneer residents” set the tone for the vibrant village Fullarton has become. Fullarton now has 190 residents who are enjoying a jam-packed calendar of events and activities.
One of the most important events is the Anniversary Dinner and this year’s 8th Anniversary celebration, held in the Great Hall on 15th December, was attended by 100 residents. Also in attendance was new Village Manager, Douglas Rogers, who was pleased to meet so many residents who have called the village home for the past eight years.
The Anniversary Dinner, which doubled as the village’s Christmas party, was organised by Joan Ogden with help from Peter Radovic, Chris Murray and Micheleine Hannaford. Joan said it was a wonderful event, with bubbles on arrival, followed by a delicious dinner of roast turkey and all the trimmings, or barramundi with roasted vegetables. Dessert was a choice of Christmas pudding or pavlova and seasonal fruits.
“It was a huge day for the Castello’s Cucina restaurant staff as they had served 80 people for lunch too, but both the food and the service were great,” she said.
Adding to the special occasion was the beautiful music played by well-known harpist, Emma Hopgood. Emma has performed at the village on several occasions and always gets a warm reception. The raffles for Treasure Boxes were also drawn and there were some lucky door prizes.
Congratulations to all the residents at Living Choice Fullarton for helping to make the village such a warm and welcoming place for both residents and visitors.
