Fullarton’s Micheleine honoured for service

Every three months, the Living Choice Fullarton Residents’ Representative Committee presents a Volunteer Award to a resident as an acknowledgement of the voluntary contributions of the recipient to the life of the village.

For the December quarter, Micheleine Hannaford was selected by the Residents’ Committee to receive the award, which was presented to Micheleine by Jenny Tregoning at the opening of the February art exhibition.

Micheleine, who was sitting with friends at the exhibition opening, said she had no idea that she was going to receive the award. “It came as a big surprise. I love helping and getting involved and am happy to help wherever required.”

Micheleine moved into the village in the first week it opened in December 2014. She became an Ambassador, assisting at events to promote the village. She was involved with the SALA Festival exhibition, music and social events, including Art Expression @123 Fisher, and with the Art Advisory Group. She also modelled at several fashion shows held at the village. Recently, she starred in a photo shoot for the village’s new brochure.

“We thank Micheleine for her outstanding efforts over the last eight years,” said Jenny.
