Fullarton’s “Wandering Wombats” set for Variety SA’s fundraising 4WD Bash
Congratulations to Living Choice Fullarton residents, Sue Pearce and Rod Watson who are the highest fundraisers in this year’s Variety SA 4WD motoring event which kicks off on 6th April. Through various fundraising events and generous donations, including from Living Choice, Rod and Sue have raised an amazing $33,442 for children with special needs.
The annual Variety SA event is a six-day outback adventure taking 4WD vehicles and their owners off the bitumen and into the outback, but doing it in style. Sue and Rod, known as the Wandering Wombats, will set off in Car 222 from Parachilna to Laura on a route dubbed “Prairie to Dairy”. “Being the highest fundraisers means we take poll position for start and finish lines for this major and exciting event,” said Sue. “Our sponsors’ logos will be exposed to many people in many places during the next fortnight, and they can be sure that at any opportunity we will talk about them, their companies and their generosity!”
The highest fundraisers receive “gold door” panels and Sue and Rod were interstate when they were presented at the drivers’ briefing night. “They will take pride of place on our vehicle so our first stop from the airport today was to collect them, and we are the two proud wombats in the photo,” added Sue.
