Galston clients get a taste of village life
Prospective pioneer residents at Living Choice Galston were given a taste of what life will be like at a Living Choice retirement community when they attended a VIP Client event on Tuesday 18th July.
With bulk earthworks underway at the Galston site, it was decided to hold the event at Living Choice Glenhaven, just 15 minutes down the road. Glenhaven Resident Ambassadors and Committee Members joined the 46 clients for the enjoyable event.
Resident Anne Oliver gave a valuable insight into village life and described all the activities available at Glenhaven. Future Galston residents will no doubt be keen to start similar activities when their village is built. It is planned that a temporary clubhouse will be erected for pioneer residents so that they can still enjoy regular activities while the leisure centre is being built.
Group General Manager, Jason Sack, who flew in from Adelaide for the event, gave an overview of construction progress and said the first home slabs were scheduled to be poured within the next 60 days. He said the construction team had overcome significant hurdles and he thanked clients for their patience.
Special guest David Sweet also provided information about myhomefone which provides peace of mind to families and enables residents to contact staff or emergency services 24/7.
Following the event, Regional Manager, Gail Eyres, said the sales office – which is situated in a house adjacent to the village - would open in September. All those who have registered interest will be notified of the sales office opening hours to book a personal tour.
