Glenhaven residents celebrate Christmas in style

The Living Choice Glenhaven Residents’ Christmas Lunch is always a popular event on the residents’ social calendar and this year was no exception, with the lunch fully booked within three days of the sign-up sheets opening.

Organised by Social Committee Convenor, Heather York and her team, this year’s lunch was held at the beautiful Madison’s Function Centre at Dural where 130 residents gathered for a festive lunch.

On the menu were two choices of mains featuring all the Christmas favourites such as ham, turkey and chicken, and either traditional Christmas pudding and brandy custard or apple strudel.

Santa had been tipped off and arrived laden with chocolates and residents also had the opportunity to win one of 11 prizes in the raffle and lucky draw.

Heather said the event was full of good cheer and the venue was “fantastic”. She also paid tribute to her committee members who had worked hard to ensure the event was such a great success.
