Golf course retirement living tees off at Flagstaff Hill
Wendy Butler, first resident at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill, receives the keys to her new home from Living Choice directors, Graham Hobbs and Ian Tregoning.
Saturday 25th July marked an exciting new chapter in the life of long-time Flagstaff Hill Golf Club member, Wendy Butler. Wendy received the keys to her beautiful new home at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill, South Australia’s first fully integrated golf course retirement community, from Living Choice directors, Graham Hobbs and Ian Tregoning. As the first resident, she is looking forward to helping to build a strong sense of community at the village and says she is “super-excited” about the new direction her life has taken.
Wendy was not the only one celebrating on the day. Representatives of local charity Youth Opportunities, which provides leadership programs for youth who need extra support, were over the moon to receive a donation of $100,000 from Graham Hobbs and Ian Tregoning. Their latest donation takes the combined contributions of Living Choice and the directors’ second company, EDP Hotels, to more than $2-million over the years, supporting more than 2,000 young South Australians to participate in Youth Opportunities’ leadership programs and set themselves on a positive pathway.
“By supporting Youth Opportunities we believe we are positively contributing to the success and growth of our state by developing future leaders. The Youth Opportunities program provides students with the best possible chance of leading a fulfilling lifestyle, which is also our aim at Living Choice,” said Graham Hobbs. “To have such a long-term and positive impact on the lives of young South Australians is an incredible honour,” added Ian Tregoning.
For Wendy Butler, the prospect of stepping out of her front door and hopping in her new golf buggy to get to the first tee is incredibly exciting. “I can’t wait! Everyone at Living Choice has been terrific and they have bent over backwards to overcome any hurdles along the way. Sales manager Katherine Stacey has been my rock. I’ve also been delighted with the quality of my villa and the attention to detail by the construction team, led by Rob Grech.”
Living Choice Flagstaff Hill is pet-friendly and Wendy’s beloved cavoodle, Bella, will be joining her too.
Wendy said she was also very impressed with the Ray White Flagstaff Hill team of James Leo and Sam Conlen who sold her house in six weeks, at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Residents at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill will be able to choose from spacious villas or luxury apartments, enjoy fabulous facilities in the magnificent new clubhouse and embrace the opportunity to be part of a secure, caring and friendly community. The first stage comprising 42 villas is currently under construction.
