Another step forward for golf-front retirement community

Elevating Flagstaff Hill Golf Club to the finest Tier 2 club in South Australia is the vision of both Living Choice and the club, Living Choice director Graham Hobbs told those who attended an Information Session at the club on 29th August.

The fully booked event was the fourth Information Session held since Living Choice announced its plans in July last year to bring the first integrated golf course/retirement village to South Australia.

Graham, a keen golfer, said Living Choice Flagstaff Hill would be unique in the state, providing an opportunity for future residents to enjoy a beautiful home, play golf with good mates and take advantage of all the fantastic facilities that the new clubhouse would offer. In addition, he was working with the club’s committee to improve the course, ensuring that both the retirement community and the golf club would be marketable for many years to come.

Jason Sack, Living Choice General Manager (SA & Sydney), said considerable progress had been achieved this year, including the Revocation of Open Space Proclamation on a portion of the club’s land, lodging the Development Application for the 42 villas and meeting with neighbours regarding any concerns they may have. He expected approval of the DA in late 2018 with villa construction commencing in early 2019.

“Once we have DA approval, people will be able to reserve their homes following the receipt of a fully refundable $5,000 deposit.”

Another exciting development was reaching agreement with the club to build a brand new, state-of-the-art clubhouse with three levels of apartments above. He assured golf members that temporary clubhouse facilities would be established during construction of the new clubhouse.

“The next steps will be submission of the development approval for the clubhouse and apartments in late 2018 and agreement with the club for the required work on the course,” he added.

Resident ambassadors from both Living Choice Woodcroft and Fullarton also attended the Information Session and spoke to potential Living Choice Flagstaff Hill residents about life in their village.

In total, 42 villas and 120 apartments are planned at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill and plans are now available. Contact Katherine Stacey at 1800 502 524 or email sales@livingchoice.com.au for information.
