Goods snapped up at Easter Trading Table

The Fullarton Crafters held their annual Easter Trading Table to raise funds for their favourite charity, Treasure Boxes, and all their hard work over the past five weeks paid off, with everything sold within a few hours.

Heather Woolford and Margaret Horsell `manned’ the table which was set up in the Grand Lobby and were kept busy selling goods to both residents and members of the public. “We raised $465 for Treasure Boxes,” said Heather proudly.

Treasure Boxes is a charity that provides clothing, cots, bassinets and toddlers’ beds to disadvantaged families. Living Choice residents have been supporting the charity for many years, donating clothing, bedding and towels. Resident Sandra Maynard also volunteers there once a week.

Heather first discovered Treasure Boxes through a fellow resident who made blankets for the charity. The Fullarton Crafters then decided to adopt Treasure Boxes as their chosen charity and have donated thousands of dollars over the years.

Heather has also made an incredible 34 double bed blankets and 11 single bed blankets for the charity.
